 Why is Green Sheet MEDIA changing its name? IDMi's Managing Editor tells us.

"During 2007 we had increasing problems with the name 'Green Sheet'. Partly due to the name being incorrectly
associated with some of the more 'radical' aspects of environmental pressure groups and organisations, and partly

because, in the business world of today, the origin of the name Green Sheet has little or no meaning for our target audience.

As a direct result of this 'misplacement' of the Green Sheet ident, we lost out on key interviews, possibly over 'security issues'. Don't

get me wrong, it's not that we are not 'green' as an organisation. We only print what we have to, and we always strive to optimise quantities

of whatever we print, to eliminate waste. A great example of this is that our policy is that magazines are ONLY printed on paper approved by the

Forest Stewardship Council. (www.fsc-uk.org) which means that every sheet of paper our printer uses, can be traced back through a system of

'Chain of Custody' certification, which follows forest products all the way through the supply chain to the end-consumer. This ensures that any paper

thing used to print the magazine, is coming from material replaced with the same, or more to ensure perpetuation of forests.

Finally, as an organisation with a publication which reaches over 100 countries, it was time to tell the world - that we cover the world" John Baker
